Second-half goals from Sophie Hanlon and Leiagh Glennon helped Bohemians beat Treaty United 2-0 to lift the EA SPORTS League of Ireland Academy Women's Under-19 Cup in Athlone Town Stadium.

This is the first trophy that Bohemians have won at women's level since entering the League of Ireland but judging by the talent on display it may not be long before they add even more silverware.

Referee Klaudia Pawula led an all-female team of match officials that also included Hannah O'Brien, Chloe Kenna and Vicki McEnery, but they didn't have much to do in what turned out to be a free-flowing game between two very good teams.

Bohemians - who had scored 106 goals this season going into this game - showed that bit of extra class when it counted, like when Hanlon opened the scoring on 52 minutes with a sweet right-footed strike.

It took just four minutes for EA SPORTS Player of the Match Glennon to double their lead when she raced clear and fired in from a tight angle.

Treaty never gave up and proved that they deserved to be contesting this Final with a strong showing. But the day belonged to Bohemians and they took the trophy back to Dublin 7.
