Clancy and Reynolds receive call-ups to Ireland WNT squad
Republic of Ireland Women's National Team Head Coach Carla Ward has called two SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division players into her squad for the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup European Qualifiers double-header against Poland.
The call-up marks a first-ever official inclusion for Shamrock Rovers starlet Maria Reynolds. She is joined by Shelbourne player Aoibheann Clancy, who returns to the international set-up for the first time since March 2025. Clancy made her senior debut in a 4-0 friendly win over Morocco in November 2022.
The two girls will report with the rest of the squad for international duty on Wednesday, 8 April, to begin preparations at the FAI National Training Centre in Abbotstown. Carla Ward's side will be targeting positive results as they continue their quest for qualification for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 in Brazil.
