Key dates confirmed for 2026 League of Ireland season
The League of Ireland can confirm the key dates for the 2026 season schedule across the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division, SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division and SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division as well as the Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup and Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup and Men’s and Women’s President’s Cups.
The SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division will begin on Friday, February 6 2026 with the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division will starting on Saturday, March 14 2026.
The SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division commences on Friday, February 13 2026.
The 2026 Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Final will take place at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, November 8 with the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup Final being held at Tallaght Stadium on Sunday, September 27.
