Ciaran O’Connor proved Finn Harps’ match-winner as they came from behind at Richmond Park to lift themselves three points clear of the relegation places with a big first victory of the season.
St Pat’s remain in the bottom three as their search for a first win of the campaign continues.
It began well for Saints when they punished defensive dithering to take a third minute lead as Graham Kelly ran through to shoot past Ciaran Gallagher.
Harps battled back into the game and deservedly levelled on 19 minutes. A loose defensive header dropped for Sean Houston to shoot low to the net.
Harps then clinically punished a mistake by Michael Barker to snatch what proved their winner on 44 minutes as Caolan McAleer squared for O’Connor to tap home his third goal of the season.
