Players and staff from Dundalk, Shamrock Rovers and Derry City have received negative results from their sixth round of tests for COVID-19, as part of the FAI’s pilot programme for a safer return to action for all Irish football.
FAI Medical Director Dr. Alan Byrne received the results today after tests were carried out ahead of training on Thursday morning. All those tested have been informed of their negative result.
Results from tests at Bohemians, carried out before training on Thursday evening, will be available on Monday.
The FAI has now conducted six rounds of testing on all four European qualified squads and all results received to date have been negative.
