Sligo Rovers have launched an outdoor museum at the Showgrounds to commemorate the club's 90-year history. 

The Showgrounds outdoor museum is the first of it's kind in Ireland and provides a display which highlights the club's major achievements from over the years. 

The exhibition features many players, managers, supporters and volunteers who have made a special contribution to the club and it was opened by former Sligo Rovers manager Billy Sinclair, who was guest of honour at the grand opening. 

Other speakers at the launch were the Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Cĺlr Tom MacSharry, the Chair of Sligo's Local Community Development Committee, (LCDC), Cllr Chris MacManus, and the Chair of Sligo Rovers Heritage Group, Aidan Mannion.

Former players Tony Fagan, Chris Rutherford, Gavin Dykes and Anthony Ending were also in attendance at the launch of the Showgrounds outdoor museum which has been fully funded by the Sligo Peace IV Small Grants Fund.
