TG4 continues coverage of women’s football for sixth season

For a sixth successive year, TG4 will provide live coverage of the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division along with continuing to cover the Women’s FAI Cup and Women’s All-Island Cup.

In total, TG4 will show 17 live games – 13 in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division, three in the Women’s FAI Cup (Semi-Finals and Final) and one in the Women’s All-Island Cup (Final) – through their Sacar na mBan Beo programming.

Coverage of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season will begin with the Round 1 clash between Shelbourne and Treaty United in Tolka Park on Saturday, March 14th, with kick-off set for 14:30, as Sean Russell gets started with The Reds against his former club.

The TG4 cameras will then be in Tallaght Stadium on Saturday, March 21st for the Dublin duel involving Shamrock Rovers and Peamount United in Round 2, as James O’Callaghan leads his new team out at home for the first time against his former team. This game will start at the earlier time of 12:45.

The Round 4 game between Treaty United and Galway United on Saturday, April 19th has been pencilled into the TG4 schedule, with that battle set to take place in Markets Field from 13:45.

The broadcaster will be there to cover the Women’s All-Island Cup Final on Saturday, July 18th in what will be the fourth year of the competition.

TG4 will also cover the two Women’s FAI Cup Semi-Finals on Saturday, August 22nd, as well as the Final in Tallaght Stadium on Sunday, September 27th.

League of Ireland Director Mark Scanlon said: “It is hugely important to have a broadcaster who believes in women’s football and that is exactly what we have in TG4, whose commitment to promoting our top domestic competitions continues into the 2026 season. Following on from increased viewership last year, we are looking forward to working with TG4 to reach an even wider audience across the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division, Women’s FAI Cup and Women’s All-Island Cup.”

TG4’s Head of Sport Rónán Ó Coisdealbha said: “As we enter our sixth consecutive season of Sacar na mBan Beo on TG4, we are proud to continue as the exclusive free-to-air home of women’s domestic football in Ireland. Our coverage of the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division, the Women’s FAI Cup and the Women’s All-Island Cup reflects TG4’s ongoing commitment to women in sport and to the continued growth of these domestic competitions. We look forward to bringing another exciting season of top-level football to audiences across the country and worldwide.”
