Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the League of Ireland website, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for the League of Ireland website:

  • 3rd party widgets: Images may not have text alternatives because we do not have control over the way in which the widget is rendered on the screen. We are in communication with the developers of the widget to highlight this concern and work to find a satisfactory solution.
  • Imported data from the previous iteration of the website. There may be instances whereby historic data/content on the website does not meet the required WCAG 2.2 standard. We acknowledge that this is not ideal for all users and we are conducting phased updates of the website to ensure these issues are rectified for all users.
  • Colour contrast. There are a few instances whereby the colour contrast on the webpage is not to the required WCAG 2.2 standard. We acknowledge that this is not ideal and we are working with our branding agency to remedy this issue.

Assessment approach

The League of Ireland assessed the accessibility of the League of Ireland website by conducting a self-evaluation.
