Athlone Town star Madison Gibson has secured the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month award after a crucial month in moving the club closer to retaining the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division title.
The 29 year-old played a key role in a flawless month in the League for Athlone Town, where they won three out of their three games, with Madison contributing a goal and two assists.
Lily Agg was full of praise for her winger, “Madison has been superb, I don’t think she realises how good she can be. I’ve challenged her to keep pushing to get better, her goals and assists are an added bonus to her recent performances for the team – with and without the ball”.
