Robbie Benson was a frustrated figure following Friday nights draw with Bray Wanderers. The Dundalk midfielder missed four great chances during the course of the match which Dundalk couldn’t break down a resolute and hard working Bray Wanderers.  Speaking after the match, despite the first points collected for the season it had been a tough night for the Lilywhites. “There is not much to write home about” reflected Benson “The standard here the last number of years is that we win at home and we were not able to get over the line tonight and we are disappointed in there. But we have to pick ourselves up and get a difficult three points away to Rovers next week” Benson had chances to clinch the three points for Dundalk only for some resolute goalkeeping and chances going amiss. It’s an aspect to the game that clearly played on the mind of the Athlone native.  “I had four really good chances in the game, I pride myself on being quite clinical when I get the opportunity, so personally it’s disappointing for me tonight I could have won the game for us tonight and I didn’t. To be fair it was the only car cut chances we created so I have to hold my hand up for that one and get my finishing boots on next week.” While Tallaght will have fond memories for Dundalk players and fans alike it’s a different prospect next week with Shamrock Rovers looking to get their first points on the board and Dundalk would be a perfect statement of intent to do so. “They are going to be in the same position as ourselves, a loss for either team next week and its a poor start. Both teams are really going to be fighting for everything next week and it should be another classic.”
