SSE Airtricity League Premier Division side Bohemians took a huge step forward for Irish football yesterday as they launched their amputee team.
The Dublin club were one of the first respondents to the Football for All initiative and will start their own amputee team this season.
The launch was attended by Bohemians amputee players Amanda King and James Conroy, and Football for All Community Coach Christy McElligott as amputee football grows in Ireland.
Bohemians manager Keith Long was also in attendance to offer his support to the initiative as well as first-team players Keith Ward and Rob Cornwall.
