Described by his boss, Keith Long, as an “immense talent and extremely unlucky not to have played more. And if he keeps going as he is, could definitely go to the U.K. in the future.” Bohemian young gun, Warren O’Hora, made an extremely assured and impressive debut in the 2-0 home victory against Sligo Rovers, earning plaudits from all those around Dalymount Park. At just 18, local lad O’Hora, spoke proudly at making his first team bow, “I’m feeling ecstatic, it’s the best feeling in the world. I’ve waited nearly two years for this since Keith called me up to train with the first team when I was 17. Being from Cabra I always went to watch Dalymount, so it was a surreal experience to play for my hometown team. The atmosphere from the fans was incredible” A slight hold-up in the talented centre-half possibly making his debut earlier, and potentially racking more appearances, was the opportunity to embark on a scholarship to the States. Warren received an offer from California to study and play football, but as the rules in the college game state: “If an athlete has been paid to play, signed a professional contract or had an agent it is unlikely he or she can participate in College sports.”  A big decision had to be made and the assured teenager has backed himself, confidently saying: “I really want to try pursue a career as a professional here in Ireland and the U.K. It was tough but I feel I’ve made the right choice and I’m going to give it everything I have.”  Keith Long was clearly delighted with the decision, heralding the choice as “almost like a new signing for the club.” The Dublin native, who has captained the club at Under 17 and Under 19 level already, was immediately rewarded with his first league start and doing his part to keep a clean sheet against a tough Sligo side.  He has since go on to make a further two appearances, including the recent narrow 1-0 defeat to Dundalk at Dalymount, but isn’t resting on his laurels having gotten a taste of first-team action in the league.  O'Hora continued: “I’m very grateful to Keith for giving me the opportunity and am determined to keep developing as a player. My immediate goal now is to get more game time with the first team and finish as high as possible in the league.”
