Winning can be a habit, just ask Greg Bolger. He experienced it with Cork City last season as they went all the way to SSE Airtricity League Premier Division success. Now, he wants the same at Shamrock Rovers.

The Wexford man does not settle for second best - it's not in his nature. So the fact that Rovers are winning games - even if they have hit to hit a consistent patch of playing their best football - is something that he wants to build on.

"We’ve good home form. Long may it continue. It’s no different though away from home. We’re trying to go out and win every game," said Bolger.

Rovers boss Stephen Bradley would agree with his midfield man but sometimes you have to take what you are given. An example of that was The Hoops' scrappy 1-0 win over Sligo Rovers in their last outing.

“It’s the worst we’ve been all season, outside Bohs,” reflected Stephen Bradley after his side’s 1-0 win over Sligo Rovers. “It’s the worse we've been here for a long time.“You get those nights where it just isn’t happening for you. Our decision making was slow. We were sloppy in our passing. It wasn’t us.

“The really positive thing was we won the game. Last year, we wouldn’t have done that. We have players now that understand that you’re not playing well but you stay in the game and win 1-0.”
