Stephen Bradley was pleased with the performance from his Shamrock Rovers team as they brushed aside a disappointing Galway United to take all three point with a 2-0 win at Tallaght Stadium.

The first half was a close affair but Rovers took a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to Gary Shaw’s third goal of the season. Rovers dominated the second half and went 2-0 up when Graham Burke and Brandon Miele combined majestically to score one of the best team goals of the season so far.

“First half we weren’t great but still went in 1-0 up and we had a chat about the second half. About getting the ball down and playing our game, and I thought we did that second half. We created a lot more chances and got the second but we could have gotten another one on top of that,” said Bradley

It is not the first time this season Rovers have left a game feeling they should have won by a much bigger margin and when asked if he felt it was only a matter of time before a team suffered at their hands, Bradley accepted the suggestion.

“Yeah, maybe, because of the way we attack. Brandon hit the post and we had one other in the second half as well so we create a lot of attacks. Maybe it’s only a matter of team before we hit a team for a couple more goals.”

Bradley also spoke about Brandon Miele who seems to be finally rediscovering the form that saw him pick up the young player of the year award two years ago.

“We have had a look at Brandon in terms of how to get him back to where he was two years ago. He doesn’t train as much as the lads now and does different training both in the gym and on the pitch. We are trying to get him back to where he was and I think he has shown bits in the last few weeks with his finish against Bohs on Friday and then again tonight.”
