Bohemians got a much needed three points at home to a hugely-improved Bray side Friday night, coming from behind to win 2-1 in the dying minutes of the game.

Dinny Corcoran was the hero of the hour as an eruption of relief exploded around Dalymount Park on the final whistle, as his 91st minute winner broke Bray hearts.

Daniel Kelly’s header gave the Seagulls the lead within three minutes, only for Ian Morris to hit an thunderbolt of an effort from over 30 yards just a minute later to level things up and that’s how things stayed until the dying few minutes.

Substitute Keith Ward linked up brilliantly with Corcoran, and the latter showed massive composure to keep his drive low to grab a much needed victory.

“I thought over the course of the game we deserved it and did just enough to win the game. It felt like we had more of the ball, but massive, massive relief to get the win. You could feel it around the stadium aswell as on the pitch,” the Bohs front man said with a beaming smile.

“We’ve been working hard all week to try put things right and tonight was all about the win. Just getting the three points, didn’t matter how, that’s all the gaffer (Keith Long) said to us, and if I’m honest, we’ve probably played better than tonight in games, turned in some good performances and came away with nothing. So, yeah, delighted with the win.”

On the winning goal itself and the pressure that came with it, Bohs top scorer from last season went onto say, “I thought my first touch could have been a bit better to be honest, but I just looked at it, got my head over the ball and said ‘I’m gonna smash this’ I connected well with and it went in, thank God!

“Hopefully we can now use this win as a springboard because we need to get points on the board. I know we’ve a tough game to come against Dundalk next in the league but I think the effort we showed again tonight and how hard we worked right until the end can only be good for us going forward.”
