Michael Duffy has experienced many highs already in his Dundalk career but winning the EA SPORTS Cup Final is definitely at the top.
The former Celtic winger was full of praise for the club's supporters following the 3-0 victory over Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium, who he felt made a difference.
“The supporters were brilliant, it actually felt like we were at home and like we had more of a crowd there. They were really loud and we could hear them singing the whole game so it was brilliant," said Duffy.
“Winning the Cup is definitely as much about the supporters as it is for us players. There was a big crowd from Dundalk that travelled and I’m sure they were delighted. They stayed after when we were lifting the trophy so it was a brilliant day for everyone.
“We’ll obviously being going into that confident after beating them 3-0 and hopefully we’ll get to another final and give the fans a day out in the Aviva," noted Duffy in reference to the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup.
