Shamrock Rovers booked their place in the final of the Extra.ie FAI Cup Final with a relatively comfortable 2-0 win at the home of fierce rivals, Bohemians, in what boss Stephen Bradley say’s was a “brilliant, and proud moment”   Goals in either half from Graham Burke and Aaron Greene were enough to get the Hoops over the line, as the Gypsies saw star man Danny Mandroiu, receive a straight red for a poor challenge on Sean Kavanagh.   Rovers boss Stephen Bradley was understandably delighted at not just the performance, but also the manner of which his side got the job done.   “Yeah I’m extremely proud, it’s massive to come to your fiercest rivals and win comfortably like we did tonight. I think when the draw was made a lot of people would have written us off, but we showed tremendous character to come here and win the game.   “We defended really well, Ronan Finn was unbelievable and Sean Kavanagh on the other side was excellent. I don’t think Alan (Mannus) had a save to make in the game, so overall defensively I think we were brilliant.”   Graham Burke broke the deadlock after just five minutes with an extremely well taken header, from a Jack Byrne corner and Bradley went on to add that it was something straight from the training ground.   “Great header”, he said with a beaming smile. “It was something we worked on yesterday, Graham getting across the front post. We felt they were small in the front post area, and Graham gets the header. Look, Graham scores goals in big games and that’s what he does. He’s getting sharper, he’s getting fitter and he’s a top player.”   Aaron Greene put the game beyond doubt, minutes after the sending off which Bradley has no doubts about saying: “Sean is lucky his leg wasn’t planted because it could have been broke, so it was a definite red.”   The afore mentioned Finn was instrumental in the second, getting down the right wing before delivering a devilishly whipped cross on a plate for Greene, who also came in for some praise from his boss after a tough first half of the season. “I think he’s only two off top scorer now, is Aaron. So for everyone’s talk about him, he could be top scorer so that would be interesting!”   The Dubliner went onto add, “It’s a proud moment for me to bring this special club to the Aviva, but that’s were this club belongs. It belongs in finals and challenging at the top of the table and we’ll go there win and fully focused on doing so. ”
