Bohemians manager Keith Long left his team could have been better in their 0-0 draw at home to Drogheda United. Neither side could find that moment of magic to break the deadlock in a tight and nervy affair.

“We weren’t good enough in the first half, but I thought we improved greatly in the second," said Long.

"We probably haven’t drawn enough games, losing narrowly in some, but it has been an up and down season for us, so I suppose on one hand were happy to have the clean sheet and stood still in the League but these are the games we should be winning.”

Bohs' home form was also adding to the overall frustration around the club, winning just two games at Dalymount, but the manager was quick to praise the home support. “I spoke before the game about making Dalymount a fortress and we were unable to do that again, if we could replicate our away form of four wins only at home we could have some breathing space between us and the bottom. The fans deserve better, our attendances have been up this season and our supporters have been excellent again and we want to repay that and I’m sure we will.”

Long finished off in determined fashion stating: “We’ll go away and refocus. We as a group want to make sure we come back and hit the ground running. In previous years we’ve been notoriously slow after the restart and we’ll do everything we can to not let that happen again. We know there’s going to be plenty of twists and turns and, look, there’s seven teams involved in the scrap so every point is vital.”
