Bray Wanderers

After a disastrous first series of games for the Seagulls, they have shown signs of life in recent times with victories over Derry City, Still Patrick's Athletic and Shamrock Rovers.

Dave Mackey's rein at the Carlisle Grounds left Bray Wanderers playing an extreme game of catch and his temporary replacement - Graham Kelly - resuscitated the strugglers before passing the baton to Martin Russell.

Six points now stand between the Co Wicklow club and Limerick FC and Marketsfield is Bray's first stop after the break followed by vital clashes with Sligo and Bohemians.

Mid-Season Rating: E
They looked dead and buried not too long ago and were heading for an NG but they've turned the Carlisle into something of a fortress lately which has given them hope. Their away form is also atrocious with just one point earned on the road thus far.

Best Player: Cory Galvin
The winger provides the spark for the goal-shy Seagulls. He is a nightmare for defenders and is a vital outlet for his side who has chipped in with his fair share of goals and assists. He won't win many headers but his low centre of gravity allows him to be an absolute nuisance.

Most Promising Newcomer: Ronan Coughlan
He is versatile and is an absolute workhorse. He scored winners against Shamrock Rovers and Derry City and you get the sense that he'll continue to improve. Coughlan is strong willed and leads from the front.

Area They Need To Strengthen: Goalkeeper
They have already lost first-choice 'keeper Aaron Dillon who has returned to Blackburn Rovers following injury and they need someone with experience to challenge Evan Moran. It is not Moran's fault that Bray have the leakiest defence in the league but a seasoned League of Ireland shot-stopper would be welcome with open arms.
