The start of the 2019 SSE Airtricity League season has produced some shocks, some big results, and a lot of top-class football.

Bohemians, under the guidance of Keith Long, won their opening three Premier Division games in February and that is why they have two nominees in the running for the SSE Airtricity / SWAI Player of the Month.

Goalkeeper James Talbot may be new to the League but he has excelled so far, while striker Dinny Corcoran has scored some vital goals. The same can be said of Waterford's Bastien Hery and Derry City's Ciaron Harkin.

Finn Harps' return to the top flight has started well and newcomer Sam Todd has stood out for them, while St Patrick's Athletic have certainly benefitted from the midfield control that Jamie Lennon brings.

James Talbot (Bohemians): Young goalkeeper has made the perfect start to his career at Dalymount Park. Three clean sheets in as many games have helped Bohs top the table.

Dinny Corcoran (Bohemians): The striker has led the line superbly, scoring three goals in three games - netting the winner most recently against bitter rivals Shamrock Rovers.

Ciaron Harkin (Derry City): With three assists and one goal, the midfielder has been the Candystripes’ standout performer.

Sam Todd (Finn Harps): The centre back has been a commanding presence for the newly promoted side and looks primed for an impressive season.

Jamie Lennon (St Patrick’s Athletic): The Saints have kept three clean sheets from their opening three games and defensive midfielder Lennon has provided much needed cover for the defence. Was also captain of Stephen Kenny‘s home based Ireland under 21 squad.

Bastien Hery (Waterford): Inspired the Blues to a Munster derby win over Cork City. The classy midfielder continues to shine and set the tempo for his side.
