Shamrock Rovers head to the Carlisle Grounds this Friday in search of a second league win in a row after their victory against Sligo Rovers last week.

They face a Bray Wanderers side who have started the season in fine form, currently sitting in 3rd position on 18 points.

The Seagulls are currently on a four game winning streak, including an impressive 3-1 win against current league champions Dundalk at Oriel Park. Meanwhile, Rovers have been inconsistent so far this season, and they have yet to register two wins in a row.

The Hoops currently sit in 6th position, five points adrift of Bray. The sides last met last season in Tallaght, where the fixture ended in a stalemate.

WHAT THEY SAID

Bray Wanderers manager Harry Kenny said: "We put up an excellent display against the champions Dundalk last Friday night. To come away with three points and to score three goals was very pleasing considering we were missing three key players from our defence.

"That win keeps us up at the right end of the table and we now look forward to Shamrock Rovers coming to the Carlisle.

"We were disappointed to go out to St Pats in the EA cup after a penalty shoot-out. I thought we did enough on the night and in particular during extra time to go through to the next round.  There were a number of players who came into the team and performed very well so there were a lot of positives to be taken from the game."

Shamrock Rovers Head Coach Stephen Bradley said: "They're obviously doing really well this year, they have a good squad and they're picking up results.

"Gary McCabe is doing well, he's having a good year, he's scoring goals and he's dangerous if you give him time around the box so we have to be aware of that.

"It's going to be a tough game, we know that, but we're going into the game on the back of two good results, so we'll be strong as well and it has all the makings of a good game."
