Cork City will move one step closer to being crowned SSE Airtricity League champions this Friday night should they claim all three points against a struggling Sligo Rovers.
The runaway leaders are 17 points clear of their nearest rivals Dundalk with a game in hand. It has appeared for some time that the Leesiders are going to secure the league title and now it's just a matter of how many game will they have to spare.
Sligo's position in the league paints a different picture. The Bit O' Red are second from last, although an unlikely victory at Turners Cross could see them jump up four places should results elsewhere go their way.
Gerard Lyttle's outfit have drawn their last five league outings which represents a frustrating unbeaten run for fans and players alike.
They will be up against it against a Cork side who have lost just once in the league this season.
