With Sligo Rovers hovering just above the bottom three, Gerard Lyttle's side travel to Markets Field in the Saturday fixture hoping to distance themselves from the relegation zone.
Limerick themselves are coming off the back of a disappointing result after they were defeated by Galway United at Eamonn Deacy Park earlier on this month.
Despite the defeat Limerick are firmly in the middle of the league standings, currently sitting in sixth. A win for Neil McDonald's side would see them gain distance on the chasing pack should results elsewhere go their way. The Super Blues will also be keen to increase the gap between themselves and the bottom half of the table.
Sligo themselves have struggled recently, with an impressive win against Shamrock Rovers their sole victory in the last ten games. The Bit O'Red are just three points from bottom, where four teams are battling it out for safety.
