Sligo Rovers welcome league leaders Cork City to The Showgrounds tonight where they will be hoping to take all three points and climb out of the bottom three.

The Bit O' Red will be up against it, however. Cork got back to winning ways last Friday when they put Drogheda United on the wrong end of a 5-0 drubbing following their first dropped points of the season against Galway United.

Now thirteen points clear of their nearest rivals Dundalk, Cork will be confident of coming home with all three points against an inconsistent Sligo Rovers side, who drew their last game 1-1 on the road against St. Patrick's Athletic.

The last time these sides met was at Turners Cross in March, where unsurprisingly the unbeaten Cork took all three points in a 2-1 victory.

"It's a game we're looking forward to and one for our supporters to get behind us and see what we can achieve."

Cork City manager John Caulfield: "They have some very good players with the likes of Sadlier and Russell in midfield. It will be a difficult game for us and as I say every week is a different challenge for us."
