Athlone score two injury time goals to stop Cabinteely winning four games in a row for their first time ever.

At half time it looked like Cabinteely would wrap this game up by three or four goals as Galvin and Watson put the away side two nil up at the break.

While Lotefa was off the field receiving treatment Invernizzi took advantage to give Athlone a chance. But that chance looked to be gone moments later as Waters made it 3-1 from the penalty spot.

And then Injury Time happened. First Conor Barry scored from the spot after substitute Rodrigues was fouled. Rodrigues helped set up the equaliser as well. His ball into the box found Invernizzi.

He headed the ball down to Jason Lyons and he prodded home from six yards out. A much needed point for Athlone, Cabinteely will be travelling back wondering how they didn't take all three points.
