Shamrock Rovers booked their spot in the Extra.ie FAI Cup Final with a comfortable win over 10-man Bohemians, thanks to goals in either half from Graham Burke and Aaron Greene. Having broken their long hoodoo against The Gypsies with their 1-0 home

A first-half double ensured the Hoops come out on top in a hotly contested Dublin Derby.

Shamrock Rovers inflicted their 3rd defeat of the season on arch enemies Bohemians, thanks to goals from Brandon Miele and Trevor Clarke.

Rovers broke the deadlock with just six minutes played following a marauding run from Graham Burke. A clever low cross towards the edge of the box was hammered home from Brandon Miele to send the travelling fans into jubilation.

The fiesty affair was being played and a hundred miles per hour, as expected, and the visitors doubled their lead through an outstanding effort from Trevor Clarke. The wide man cut inside on his left foot from the right wing and bent a wonderful curling effort to the far post giving Shane Supple no chance.

The second half continued with the same frenetic pace with Rob Cornwall and Fuad Sule finding themselves in the book early on as the Gypsies desperately tried to salvage something from the game.

The home side had more of the ball and looked dangerous from a wave of Ian Morris long throws but the Hoops defence stood strong. Despite a battling performance in the second half Bohs drew another blank as Rovers saw out the game in a professional manner leaving the raucous home crowd bitterly disappointed.

Another impressive victory for Stephen Bradleys men following last weeks massive win over reigning Champions Dundalk but it will be a bitter pill to swallow for the Gypsies as they look to pull away from the dreaded relegation zone.
