Following the fallout of “Battle at the Bowl” between these two sides, in which UCD ran out 1-0 winners, this encounter threatened to be quite a tasty affair, but in reality it never got going as a contest.

Bohs dominated much of the possession and didn't let up. Danny Grant then burst to the endline before standing up a lovely weighted cross for Andre Wright to power home his first for the club. Conor Levingston double their lead just before the break. A cleverly worked corner routine saw last week's hero Danny Mandroiu, drill a low ball to the edge of the area and up stepped the unmarked Levingston to sweep home with his left.

Any slim hopes the visitors, were demolished almost immediately after the restart, as the Gypsies began to run riot with three goals in just eight minutes . Firstly, after winning the ball back straight from the retsart, Mandroiu slipped in Grant on the inside right channel and the pacy winger got the goal his performance deserved. This was quickly followed by an almost trademark Mandriou free kick form the edge of the box, before Wright got his second of the game calmly slotting past Murphy from a slack back pass. Wright having seen his penalty saved tapped home the rebound.

Seven and eight followed after as Ross Tierney cleverly turned home Luke Wade-Slaters low cross in off the bar before Mandroiu smashed home from the penalty spot. Bohs were then gifted another penalty when Murphy clattered into Wright with ten minutes remaining. Up stepped Mandroiu and with a carbon copy of his first penalty grabbed a hat-trick for himself.

Chants of “we want ten!” were rewarded as Wright headed home from Keith Wards floated cross in a game that will go a long way to helping the goal difference in the race for Europe.

UCD's Jason McLelland then went on to smash home a beautiful consolation strike just before the final whistle
