It was a night to forget for Bray Wanderers and the 208 spectators in attendance as Shels comfortably sealed their passage to the next round of the EA Sports Cup.

A quickfire double in the first half from James English and Gavin Boyne knocked the stuffing out of the hosts and the visitors never looked like loosening their grip of the tie.

English managed his second in the 61st minute and it could have been 0-4 ahead when Davy O'Sullivan struck the crossbar.

It isn't a match that will be cherished forever but it is to be expected when the sides make 17 changes between them from their most recent outings. Owen Heary's men march onto the next stages while the Seagulls continue to search for their first victory of the season.
