Cabinteely made it back to back First Division victories with a 2 -0 win over Cobh Ramblers at Stradbrook.

The away side started brightly but were undone when Jack Watson gave Cabo the lead in the 18th minute after a neat dummy by Kieran Marty Waters.

Five minutes later, Kevin Knight doubled the home side's cushion from the penalty spot after Waters was brought down by James McSweeney. The away side came out fighting in the second half, applying continuous pressure on the Cabinteelly defence.

Their best chance came in the 66th minute when Stephen Kenny took advantage of a mistimed clearance by Cabo substitute Paul Fox but could only rattle the post. Later, Cobh sub Denzil Fernandes crossed for Ian Mylod who saw his shot deflected away for a corner.

A scrappy second half saw five players enter the book, three for Cabinteely and two for Cobh. The home side eventually secured a 2-0 win despite a battling second half performance from their visitors, thanks largely to an impressive perfomance by Waters, who came off to applause from the home fans in the 84th minute.
