Dean Clarke's last-minute heroics was enough to earn St Patrick's Athletic a point as they held Cork City to a 1-1 draw at Turner's Cross on Friday night. Pats were dealt a blow in the 34th minute as David Webster was sent off following an off the ball incident with Graham Cummins inside the penalty area which allowed the City number nine to compound their misery by scoring from the resulting spot kick. City controlled proceedings from that moment on but they couldn't add to their lead as Cummins, Gearoid Morrissey, Garry Comerford and Darragh Crowley all failed to beat Brendan Clarke with their efforts. And John Caulfield's side would rue those missed chances as in the final minute of the game, Dean Clarke pounced on a defensive mix up from Alan Bennett and Conor McCarthy before poking into the corner from close range to earn Pats a share of the spoils.
