Bray Wanderers blew Derry City away at Maginn Park with a 5-0 victory in Buncrana.

It was Derry City's third defeat against Bray this season and their heaviest defeat all year. Aaron Greene started Bray's rampage against the Foylesiders after 19 minutes. Gary McCabe cut open the Derry defence, which was a shambles all game, and Greene calmly chipped it over Gerard Doherty.

Darragh Noone and Ryan Brennan scored two goals in a minute for their side, which extended Bray's lead to 3-0, ten minutes before half-time. It wasn't long before Gary McCabe got in on the action after the interval.

Ryan Brennan almost secured his second of the fixture - his effort could only hit the post, but to Derry's misery, McCabe was there to fire in the rebound. Derry City's performance improved in the second half with Rory Patterson having a flurry of shots, but Peter Cherrie proved to be too good to beat on the night.

Greene got his second of the match ten minutes before the end to make it 5-0 and a terrible night for the home faithful. Bray Wanderers are now only one point behind the Candystripes in fourth place, while Derry City still have a game in hand.
