Derry City took all three points at Maginn Park as they impressively beat Dundalk 3-1.

Dundalk got off to best possible start after 16 minutes when Massey headed a great ball from Patrick McEleney into the back of the net past Gerard Doherty.

Derry responded just before half time when Nathan Boyle made his effort count and dealt Stephen Kenny's side a big blow just before the whistle. The second half was all about Derry City. The Candystripes never stopped playing their counter attacking football and never give Dundalk any time on the ball.

Two goals from Barry McNamee and Ryan McBride secured Derry all the points on the night in what was their first win at temporary stadium Maginn Park.
