Drogheda broke the deadlock on 52’ minutes as McCaffrey netted his fourth goal in three games by firing beyond Conor Kearns at the near post.
It was 2-0 15 minutes later as Sean Brennan released Duffy on goal who fired low into the far corner. UCD pushed hard in the closing stages but defeat sees them slip to second in the table.
