Drogheda United have advanced to the last eight of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup after they defeated Cobh Wanderers 5-1 at United Park.
After missing a number of chances, Drogheda took the lead on the half-hour mark as Shane Elworthy headed home from a corner-kick. The full-back got his second of the game as he followed up Chris mulhall's strike on the stroke of half-time and he turned provider after the break for Mulhall.
Cobh, to their credit, kept playing and they pulled one back immediately as David Stack slotted home but Drogs sealed the win at the death with late goals from Mulhall and substitute Thomas Byrne.
