Dundalk secured their Semi Final place in the EA Sports Cup with a commanding 3-0 win over Bohemians.

The Lilywhites commanded the display right from the off as they wanted to shake off Friday nights disappointing result against Waterford. Dundalk were dominating play right from the off as Marco Tagbajumi and Dane Massey went close for Dundalk in the early exchanges.

Dylan Connolly opened the account after seven minutes as he broke to the back post and a brilliant cross from Mountney was drilled home. Dundalk didn't have long to wait for a second as Connolly scored against from a fantastic through ball from the impressive Jamie McGrath.

He had it all to do as he rounded Supple to slot it home. Oscar Brennan tried his luck from range but it evaded the Dundalk goal. The big concern came in the first half was when John Mountney got injured by the Bohola native was taken off as part of a precaution.

Dundalk and Bohemians had their chances in the second half with Connolly and Massey the pick of the efforts. Eoghan Stokes have a brace of chances to drag one back for the visitors but the goal came for the Lilywhites as the match wore on.

A great shot by Ronan Murray was met by Supple who saved however Jamie McGrath was on hand to score and seal the tie for the home side. McGrath has never lost an EA Sports cup game in his career as a SSE Airtricity League career and it looks like it won't change now.
