Dundalk secured their place in the EA SPORTS Cup semi-finals courtesy of a 3-0 victory over Waterford at Oriel Park.

Stephen Kenny made several changes to his starting line-up and it was a familiar face who opened the scoring when Ciaran Kilduff was clinical with a header.

The Lilywhites shifted up in momentum in the second half following a forgettable opening period and soon had the ball in the back of the net for a second time.

Thomas Stewart added his name to the scoresheet following excellent work from winger Steven Kinsella, who impressed in spells.

The game was wrapped up on 79 minutes when Conor Clifford connected with Michael Duffy before unloading a superb shot that flew past goalkeeper Matthew Connor.
