Wixted grabbed Drogheda's first goal of the afternoon after Damien McNulty was outfoxed by Stephen Elliott who delivered in a sumptuous for Wixted to fire into the net.
Finn Harps applied real pressure during the opening exchanges of the second half and should have been level just shy of the hour mark but Funston couldn't find that killer touch as he fired over from close range and it was Drogheda who put the game to bed with 10 minutes to go.
