The weather cleared for the visit of Cabinteely to Galway but the sides started off unable to take advantage and play any nice football in the opening half.

The visitors could have taken the lead twice towards the end of the first half, however, with Jack Watson being denied first by Kevin Horgan with a great save and then by his brother Chris with a perfect tackle inside the box.

The second half was another story with Galway Untied being by far the better of the sides. Several chances were created with Doherty and Barrett going close for the home side.

Cabinteely too could have put the ball into their own net late on but they got away with that late scare and the sides finished scoreless.
