A late penalty from Ronan Murray cancelled out a first-half header from Rory Feely to ensure a share of the spoils between Galway United and St Patrick's Athletic.

Feely struck in the 41st minute, converting an uncontested header to give Pats a 1-0 lead for much of the match. Indeed, the visitors should have doubled their lead in the 73rd minute through Kurtis Byrne who swiveled in the area but his effort was too weak.

It was a miss they would rue greatly come the final whistle as Gavan Holohan was fouled by Pat Cregg in the box and a free kick was awarded. Ronan Murray dispatched it with ease to send the home fans wild and seal a dramatic point.
