St Patrick's Athletic made light of their game with Limerick FC by coming away with a 4-0 win at the Markets Field. First-half Kevin Toner and Jake Keegan goals were followed up by Simon Madden and a Limerick own goal after the break. St Patrick's Athletic dominated from start to finish and took the lead early on through Toner. Lee Desmond's header from Conan Byrne's corner hit the bar and Toner was on hand to fire home the rebound. Keegan hit the target on 22 minutes when Conor Clifford's raking pass opened up the Limerick defence. Ian Bermingham then crossed for Keegan and he chested the ball past Brady. Disaster struck early in the second half for Limerick with Brady mis controlling a Colman Kennedy back pass and the keeper was unable to then divert the ball from going over the goal line. Madden then made it 4-0 moments later with a first time finish from Byrne's cross to complete an easy night at the office for the Inchicore outfit.
