Limerick were sunk by a 90th minute equaliser as Eoghan Stokes headed into the top corner to earn Bohemians a 1-1 draw at the Markets Field.

The home side took the lead just before the hour through Cian Coleman but Stokes ensured that Keith Long's side earned a share of the spoils. Bohs shaded a poor first-half with the best chance of the opening 45 minutes with a Paddy Kavanagh shot that was palmed away from danger by Brendan Clarke.

Limerick improved after the break and were rewarded on 59 minutes. Daniel Kearns won the ball in midfield and set off on a counter attack before feeding Billy Dennehy on the right. He turned back onto his left foot and crossed to the back post where Shane Duggan was left unmarked.

Duggan controlled and flashed a shot across goal where the waiting Coleman tapped home. Mark O'Sullivan had a glorious chance to double Limerick's advantage a couple of minutes later after being put through by Kearns but he miscued his shot with only Shane Supple to beat.

Limerick were punished for that miss as Stokes popped up late on when Rob Cornwall headed a Derek Pender ball in back across goal. The home fans cried for offside but no flag was forthcoming and Bohs bring a point back to Dublin.
