Limerick FC earned a draw with Derry City at the Markets Field thanks to a Chiedozie Ogbene strike three minutes into injury time.

Ogbene found the net after Robbie Williams' deflected into his path and the former Cork youngster showed great nerve to control and finish from six yards.

Derry had taken a deserved lead 11 minutes from time when Aaron Barry was left unmarked from an Aaron McEneff corner and he headed a bullet into the top corner.

The Candystripes were the better side in the second half after a very even opening 45 minutes. Neither side created much close to the goal but both had some fine efforts from outside the penalty area.

McEneff, who was the outstanding player on the field, nearly finished a flowing move from 25 yards but his shot whistles just wide of the post.

Derry keeper Ger Doherty then made a double save from Dean Clarke and Shane Duggan in quick succession. Kenny Shiels' side went deservedly in front thanks to Barry's header but Limerick grabbed a draw thanks to Ogbene in injury time.
