Sligo Rovers look to be safe of relegation from the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division following a 3-1 win over fellow strugglers Limerick FC at the Markets Field.
Mikey Drennan put Sligo ahead close to half time with a header from Raffaele Cretaro's right wing cross.
Drennan then doubled Sligo's advantage in the 52nd minute with a penalty after he was fouled by Eoin Wearen.
Limerick replied with a Shane Duggan effort from the edge of the penalty area but Sligo sealed the win a couple of minutes later. A counter attack from the away side ended with a quite stunning Cretaro effort from all of 30 yards that flew into the top corner.
Sligo now sit eight points ahead of Limerick, third from bottom in the table.
