Cabinteely and Shelbourne shared the spoils on Friday evening after a dramatic end to proceedings at Tolka Park.

The home side looked to have grabbed all three points 11 minutes from time when Shane Farrell broke down the right, cut inside and squared across he box for Karl Moore to tap home.

However, Shane Barnes grabbed an equaliser as he ghosted into the box unmarked to find the back of the net. Even at that, Drumcondra had not seen the end of the drama.

Dayle Rooney picked up the ball in the box and attempted to shoot. He didn't connect properly but it didn't matter because the referee pointed to the spot for a handball.

Up stepped Conan Byrne who attempted to find the bottom corner but Stephen McGuinness got down wonderfully to palm clear the last kick of the game.

The first half was a disappointing affair with Shelbourne enjoying the majority of play but Cabo coming closest to scoring when Robert Manley struck the post in the 12th minute.

Shels did find the back of the net four minutes from the break after Ciaran Kilduff's marauded his way towards the box and slotted past Stephen McGuinness.

However, his celebrations were cut short as the referee adjudged Kilduff handled the ball as he tried to get past the last man.
