Cork City climbed off the bottom of the Premier Division table thanks to a 1-1 draw against Shelbourne at Tolka Park.

The point sees the Leesiders climb above Finn Harps in the table thanks to Deshane Dalling's equaliser in the second-half.

It took Shelbourne just four minutes to take the lead as Dayle Rooney was picked out by Ciaran Kilduff for Rooney to head home.

The Leesiders were dominated in the first 45 minutes but came out a different side in the second-half and were good value for the draw. Dalling found the equaliser in bizarre circumstances as Colin McCabe failed to collect Dalling's lofted ball and it went into the net.

Shelbourne move up two spots to fifth position thanks to the draw whilst Cork get off the bottom of the table with Finn Harps set to play on Monday.
