St. Patrick's Athletic secured their third home victory of the season with a 2-0 win over Shelbourne.  Both sides came into the game on 13 points looking to pull themselves away from any potential relegation danger but also get back in the race for Europe.  An intense and entertaining contest throughout, it was the home side who took the lead with their first goal in 10 hours of Premier Division action.  And what a goal. Jason McClelland's throw-in found Chris Forrester and he unleashed a typical left-footed rocket to the top corner in the 17th minute.  Pats doubled their lead after the break. Robbie Benson's near-post corner found the onrushing Rory Feely and he headed home in the 55th minute.  That was the way it stayed as Pats moved ahead of Sligo Rovers on goal difference in fifth position whilst Shelbourne will be looking over their shoulders with Finn Harps set to face Cork City tomorrow.  Watch the stunning goal below...
