A first win of the season for Waterford FC as they pick up a 3-0 win against Cabinteely.

The Blues took the lead after just four minutes. Kenny McEvoy's cross from the right found the head of David McDaid and he headed past Cabinteely keeper Michael Kelly.

The lead was doubled on 34 minutes. Brilliant work by Mark O'Sullivan down the left before he crossed for David McDaid to control.

He found Anthony McAlavey and he curled a beautiful right-footed strike into the top corner from 20 yards. 2-0 to the home side.

The third goal arrived just before the hour mark: great ball from Mark O'Sullivan found the feet of McDaid - who turned finised at the near post.

The visitors Cabinteely had chances throughout with Kieran Marty Waters the most likely to score, but they couldn't find a way past Waterford keeper McLoughlin.
