Cabinteely top the First Division following their third successive win but they are closely followed by Drogheda United who scored four first-half goals against UCD at United Park as they ran out 5-1 victors.

Ten-man Cabinteely kept up their 100% start to the season thanks to a late goal from Shane Barnes. Cabo had been down to 10 after Daniel Blackbyrne saw red but Barnes headed in from two yards to put Pat Devlin’s side top of the First Division.

Drogheda United 5-1 UCD

Drogheda United were 4-0 up by 33 minutes thanks to goals from Mark Doyle, Jordan Adeyemo, Chris Lyons, and Jack Tuite.

UCD got a goal back in the 65th minute but Sean Brennan piled on the misery for The Students with a penalty to make it 5-1.

Wexford and Galway are both searching for their first win of the season after a 0-0 draw at Ferrycarrig Park.

The Tribesmen were reduced to 10 men on 85 minutes after Shane Duggan was shown a red card for a challenge on Craig Giles. However Wexford were unable to make the advantage count and it ended all square.
