Drogheda United closed the gap on league leaders Cabinteely with an impressive home victory over Bray Wanderers.  Cabinteely were held by an impressive and improving Wexford at Ferrycarrig Park whilst UCD AFC moved up to third with a win over Shamro

Drogheda United closed the gap on league leaders Cabinteely with an impressive home victory over Bray Wanderers. 

Cabinteely were held by an impressive and improving Wexford at Ferrycarrig Park whilst UCD AFC moved up to third with a win over Shamrock Rovers II. 

Drogheda United 3-1 Bray Wanderers

Drogheda United secured an impressive home victory thanks to two quick-fire first-half goals which set them on their way to three points against the Seagulls. 

Mark Doyle struck first in the 11th minute before James Clarke doubled Drogs' lead just two minutes later. 

Eight minutes after the break, Sean McEvoy pulled one back for Bray but Stephen Meaney secured the points for the home side in the final minute of the game.

Wexford 0-0 Cabinteely

Wexford continued their impressive form since the restart with a well-earned point against the league leaders Cabinteely. 

There were plenty of chances for either side at Ferrycarrig Park but Pat Devlin's side failed to make it five wins from five matches as the two sides shared the points. 

UCD AFC 3-1 Shamrock Rovers II

UCD AFC put themselves firmly in the promotion picture thanks to a 3-1 win over Shamrock Rovers II. 

It took only five minutes for Colm Whelan to open the scoring and Jack Keaney doubled the Students' lead in the 14th minute.

Thomas Oluwa, the impressive Rovers youngster, pulled one back two minutes after the break but Liam Kerrigan struck back in the 51st minute to wrap up the win.
