Both Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers secured impressive victories ahead of their huge game at Tallaght Stadium on Friday night.  Bohemians also secured three points with a hard-fought victory over Sligo Rovers at Dalymount Park.  Waterford 0-2 Shamrock Rovers It was a comfortable night for Stephen Bradley's side who had new signing Rory Gaffney at the Regional Sports Centre supporting the side after he signed earlier in the day.  Rovers were ahead inside three minutes as Akin Odimayo turned Rhys Marshall's cross into his own net. Waterford's task was made even more difficult when Andre Burley received his second yellow with just 16 minutes on the clock. Backed by a large travelling support, Rovers sealed the victory a minute later as Marshall picked up the ball on the edge of the area and curled a beautiful strike into the top corner.  Result: Waterford 0-2 Shamrock Rovers (Odimayo OG 3', Marshall 17') Dundalk 3-0 Cork City  The Lilywhites dominated the Leesiders at Oriel Park as they cruised to a 3-0 victory at Oriel Park.  Dundalk went ahead in the 16th minute thanks to a fantastic finish from Michael Duffy and Vinny Perth's side scored two after the break to seal the win.  Pat Hoban slotted home a 63rd minute penalty before Jordan Flores' stylish finish completed the scoring just three minutes later.  All attention turns to Friday night as Dundalk travel to Tallaght Stadium to take on Shamrock Rovers.  Result: Dundalk 3-0 Cork City (Duffy 16', Hoban pen 63', Flores 66') Bohemians 2-0 Sligo Rovers Not as comfortable as the scoreline might suggest, Bohemians secured the points in a hard-fought victory at Dalymount Park.  It looked like it would be a fairly straight-forward night at the office as Dan Mandroiu fired home in the ninth minute. But, Sligo struck at it and dominated large portions of the second-half.  However, in the final minute of the game, Bohemians sealed the victory as former Sligo player Kris Twardek doubled their lead.  Result: Bohemians 2-0 Sligo Rovers (Mandroiu 9', Twardek 90')
